NOTE: On very porous surfaces to ensure adequate waterproofing, either two coats of Trojan Color Sealer should be applied or if the more transparent color of one coat is desired then one coat of Trojan Color Sealer should be followed by a second coat of Trojan Masonry Sealer (which is clear). If a second coat is applied it should be a very light application as this product is not meant to build on the surface like a paint. Coverage of 1st coat is 200 sq.ft./gallon. Coverage of 2nd coat is 300 to 400 sq.ft./gallon.
New Concrete: Allow to cure 30-60 days before applying Trojan Color Sealer. It is highly recommended that our Enviro Etch be applied to all indoor or new concrete in order to open up the pores of hard trowelled concrete (so that the color sealer can absorb adequately and evenly) as well as reduce the pH of any new concrete. As new concrete is naturally caustic (high pH) it can attack any sealant, stain or coating system. Ideal pH levels should be in the 6 to 8 pH range.
Please read our Product Data Sheets for proper surface preparation concerning old or new concrete, as well as, interior or exterior concrete.
